The menu at Mona is a delightful amalgamation of flavors, showcasing both traditional and contemporary Mediterranean cuisine. One standout dish is the Tessera, which offers a selection of four spreads served with fresh crudités and grilled pita, delivering an inviting taste of the Mediterranean for just $25.00. For those with a more adventurous palate, the kebabs, including Chicken Kebab marinated in Greek yogurt and Colossal Shrimp Kebab in a soulvaki marinade, are exquisite choices that promise to tantalize your taste buds.
The entrees present an impressive array, with the herb-crusted Lamb Chops priced at $50.00 and the Lobster Pappardelle, tossed in light, spicy tomato sauce, for $36.00. While some dishes shine brilliantly—like the lamb chops and the delicate Branzino—others may falter. Reviews indicate a mixed experience with the lobster, suggesting that while the dish is rich in flavor, a few diners have encountered issues, underlining the necessity for freshness in seafood.

“ Definitely on the pricier side in terms of food, but I will say, the gyro dumplings were delicious, and the vibes were immaculate. If you plan to dine in the main restaurant, you're definitely going to need a reservation. Fortunately the bar downstairs is available with no reservations required, and my friend and I thoroughly enjoyed the lighting, the drinks, and food! They've cultivated a gorgeous atmosphere, with a beautiful downstairs bar and an ethereal speakeasy room. Service was friendly and our waitress was lovely. Definitely the kind of place you'd want to go on a special night out, or simply to enjoy the ambiance. ”
“ I had such a wonderful experience at Mona, and a big part of that was thanks to our server, Mitchell. He was extremely attentive, professional, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. His friendly attitude and great recommendations made the evening even better. Truly exceptional service — thank you, Mitchell! ”
“ Absolutely brilliant restaurant. This spot has one of the best vibes in Philly and the service is incredible. The bartender, Andy, is the reason why I came back after the first time- impeccable service offered; drinks were amazing and the food was fresh and served quickly. I gotta give this spot a 10/10. The drinks are really good and the atmosphere is great. This is one of my favorite happy hour spots in Philly. ”
“ Amazing spot it’s beautiful on the inside. The customer service is amazing! Some of the food on the menu is a hit or miss, but I personally loved the lamb chops and Branzino! Only thing that messes up the atmosphere sometimes is the constant flashing lights and long bells when celebrating birthdays I think it’s fine sometimes but it happens so often throughout your time dining that it makes it hard to enjoy! ”
“ The ambiance at Mona is so nice. Walking in, you feel like you are entering a very high-class spot. The service is impeccable. Our waitress, as well as her helper, were super attentive to our needs. We ordered a few appetizers, and they all were super tasty, especially the hummus dishes. Even the pita was fancy with a poofiness to the bread! I still have the receipt, but the apps except the hummus have rubbed off :-( but they were all delectable! The drinks were excellent as well. My favorite was the Forbidden Fig, perfect cocktail with great flavor. Everything was excellent until I ordered my entree. I ordered the Lobster Papperdelle. While the pasta and sauce were tasty. The lobster tasted like a chemical/ammonia. It was most off-putting. The taste was not good at all and resulted in me leaving the majority of the lobster on the plate. I was completely disappointed. I'm glad I didn't just eat it because I read when lobster tastes that way it could mean that it's gone bad or well on is way. I certainly would've been really sick. I did get a migraine afterward, but I'm unsure if the amount I ate would've caused it. Anyway, everything else was great, but I would not chance getting the lobster dish again, unfortunately. I rated 3 stars only for the sake of everything else that was good. ”
“ This is a wonderful placeI am delighted, a chic atmosphere, delicious food pleasant staff. We celebrated a friend's birthday I recommend everyone to celebrate there. They always congratulate each birthday in a special way. They bring out a cake with candles and interestingly accompany it with sparks and special sounds. It was very interesting. Unforgettable emotions and wonderful memories. It was incredibly beautiful and chicThe place is top ”
“ We went here for happy hour, and it was amazing! Our server was very nice and attentive, and he had the best recommendations. The Place is very cool and worth touring! Try the desserts definitely! ”
“ Stopped in to celebrate the end of the school year. This is a fun place! Located a couple blocks from City Hall, Mona has an elegant vibe. The service is friendly and efficient. We had starters, drinks, an entree, and dessert. Mona is on the pricier side for Mediterranean food but everything was delicious! We would certainly return! ”
